Essence Don’t let difficult people draw you in. When we are in danger we either fight or take flight. But there’s another scenario. We also freeze. In our younger years, we could’ve been in situations we want to take flight, but knew we may make the situations worse. We could’ve had nowhere to fly too. We make ourselves seem small or insignificant, trying our best to avoid hurt. Eventually we’re in a safe place, but the freeze is still in place. This can result in us shutting ourselves way, avoiding new places and reducing our life because of self-imposed restrictions. If you are of a sensitive nature this can make matters worse. Our sensitivity often increases when we are in a vulnerable position.

Notes I named this essence Drink Me as it relates to the story of Alice in Wonderland. Alice went down a rabbit hole. She sees a small door with a beautiful garden behind. But she is too big to get through it. There is a key on the table and a bottle labelled “Drink Me.” She drinks it and shrinks. But she’s left the key on the table and can’t reach it. There is a piece of cake labelled eat me. She grows again but outgrows the house she is in. Eventually gets into the garden. She witnesses bemused with all the goings on. The Queen shouts off with your head to Alice. She is not afraid of authority. She takes part in the mad hatters tea party thinking it all ridiculous. The point is she doesn’t get emotionally involved. She unlock doors which normally she wouldn’t have access too. This essence gives you the key to unlock doors and see the way forward.
