Spiritual We carry emotions that were transferred to us while in our mothers’ womb. These can hold us back in relationships and other areas of our lives. We shouldn’t blame our mothers for the way we have turned out. Forgive and let go. Some mothers through no fault of their own have been though a difficult time when pregnant, perhaps war, uncertainty, poverty or upheaval.

Notes We often wait years for what we truly desire. Never give up on dreams. Believe it is in your power, persevere and succeed. There is a book called “The Black Tulip” by Alexandre Dumas. The story, set several hundred years ago, was a competition for a Tulip grower to be the first to grow a Black Tulip. Money, honour and fame were at stake. Even death surrounded this achievement. To this day it is an elusive flower. Which was exactly what I found when I tried to make an essence from it. I first tried in Holland, but found I was there too early. So I took home some bulbs but they went rotten. The second year I went to Holland only to find out it was late flowering. The third year I bought some bulbs and waited eagerly for the spring. Finally they grew and flowered. It was only a matter of time for a sunny day and it will be in the bottle. I looked out into my garden, I saw my prize flower heads where missing. Some animal had tried to eat them, but had left them on the ground and I couldn’t use them. I rushed into the house, found some empty lemonade bottles and cut some spiky tubes to put over the remaining flowers to protect them from another predator. A few days on I made this essence which had taken three years.
